In other news :)

I'll keep this brief because I am still at MD Anderson and only have my iPad. My PET scan reveals that I remain NED! I was scanned yesterday and saw my radiation oncologist, Dr. Das. He was so pleased with my results that he hugged me! He examined me and then officially signed off my case. Good thing I brought him and his staff some goodies and a thank you card!Β I still need to see Dr. Eng this afternoon but things are looking good for me! I am hoping she will release me to local care with my oncologist in Wichita. We shall see! I have much to write about the events leading up to and including this visit but wanted my BFAC friends to share in our joy!

That is awesome news, thanks it's very encouraging to me. I finished my 33rd radiation treatment 11/23, last chemo cisplatin and 5fu 10/21. The radiation darn neared killed me, I had natural child birth 1978 and it was a breeze compared to the radiation. I was given a 2 week break in treatment, as my skin in my private area looked as if I wrecked a motorcycle while doing a split. It was the worst thing ever.

I have a question, not sure if you can answer, I am extremely fatigued, which seems to be getting worse, is this normal and will just take some time to build up my strength?

Lastly, dealing with bowel incontinance for 4 months, was difficult, it has finally slowed down this week, now I am experiencing urinary inconvenience... I Have done research to find some type of physical therapy, we do not have a pelvic floor therapist within 200 miles from where I live... Did you participate in a program, if so, can you share the exercises? I don't mean to intrude, I am grasping at straws and being the type of my cancer is rare, no one knows what to tell me. Squamous cell carcinoma of the anus, basaloid, with poorly differential neuroendocrine. Any input is welcomed.

Thank you for your postings, they have been an inspiration for me. Seeing you are NED gives me hope. Also, I must give credit where credit is due. I admit the sound kkof cancer is scary, what's worse to add to that fear is the answer to the question??? What kind of cancer do you have, my face turns red, so I came up with "where the sun don't shine". Then I found you, now when asked, I say cancer of the anus... And if I am in a giddy mood I say a neuse... That gives me time to exit or change the subject.

Thank you so much for sharing. You remain in my thoughts and prayers
